Emily specializes in space mission design with a focus on trajectory optimization.

Emily leads the flight dynamics team at Continuum to provide customers with personalized mission design consultation through software development. 

She previously served as an Astrodynamics and Mission Design Engineer at the Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA. Here she gained mission design experience for different customers like NASA and Space Force for diverse mission requirements. She supported high level mission design efforts using traditional techniques as well as new optimization methods to explore evolving trade spaces.

Emily earned her B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. Her Master’s thesis focused on interplanetary trajectory optimization with undefined flyby sequence using evolutionary algorithms.
